 About Our Name:

The Thunderbird is a legendary creature of Native American myth and folklore.  It is said to possess supernatural power and strength.  The symbol and the nickname of the Thunderbird were adopted by the 45th Infantry Division in 1939.  That division went on to become very highly recognized for their contributions during World War II and Korea.  I have chosen the name in honor of these men.  I hope that you will take a few moments to read our section on the history of the 45th so that you might come to appreciate their efforts as I have.
